McMackins, L.F. (Mrs.) – Tries to Kill Family (1897)
The following appeared in last Wednesday’s American from Buena Vista: “Mrs. L.F. McMACKINS, who lives near this place, became violently insane a few days ago and tried to kill her husband and a little daughter, but was prevented by a neighbor who happened to be present at the time. Arrangements are being made to carry her to the insane asylum at Bolivar.” Mr. McMACKINS is a clever gentleman and has the sympathy of the entire community in this sad misfortune which has come to his wife.
