AT THE RESIDENCE OF M. V. GRAY
MOBILE JULY 9 1864
I desire that my sons Wm. Britt Dempsey Britt & James Britt and my son in Law Wm. Johnson take from my tract of land 100 or 125 acres each and have as they may each make choice of and have the same valued and accounted for according to valueation My wife Mary Britt to control the farm and all pertaining thereto to the best advantage all the expences incurred since my arrest as a prisoner up to the time of my death including including expences whilst in prison attorney fees in obtaining discharge Board &c with Capt. M. V. Gray, medical Bill funeral expences My body to be buried in Mobile & not to be moved.
