Know all men by thes presents that I David Green son of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee being in good health and of perfect mind and memory do constitute this my last will and testament in the following manner viz
First of all I resign my spirit to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a plain and decent christian like manner and as to my worldly Goods of which I am possessed I dispose of in the following manner
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Lydia Green one hundred dollars in gold to be disposed of as She may see fit I also leave to her two negroes my boy by the name of Tice and my woman by the name of Aggy them and their increase during her natural life and horse bridal and saddle worth one hundred and twenty five dollars and plow and gear and other necessary working tools two cows and calves two sows and pigs and all my household and kitchen furniture and one years support for her and family
Item The property which I have left to my wife during life at her death is to be equally divided between my three living living Daughters and one hundred Dollars is to be added to each one of them which is Syntha Martin wife of Jacob Martin deceased Lucy Luter wife of Joseph Luter and Lydia Wilson wife of George Nelson my wife to have the benefit her home and land to cultivate during life.
Item I give to my beloved son David Green the tract of land whereon he now lives being in the County of Carroll containing two hundred and fifty four Acres Lying on hollow Rock Creek Range 6 & section 4 beginning on a stake with Red oak and poplarpointers at the Edge of the bottom of said Crook which is the beginnings of said tract deeded to me by B W Roberts and bounded by the lands of Lype Pickler and Swift to him his heirs and assigns forever.
Item I give to my beloved son William A Green the tract of land on which he now lives Beginning at a state two post oaks a black oak pointers at Samuel McLearys southwest corner Running west one hundred and thirty and 1/2 poles to a post oak with 4 post oak pointers thence north and east to complement so as to include a fifty acre tract deeded to me by Thomas Rowland Jim ___ to him his heirs and assigns forever.
Item I give and desire to my three grand children the heirs at Law of my Deceased daughter Mary Cavit that is James M Cavitt W C Cavitt and Lydia C Cavitt each to have a horse Bridle and saddle worth eighty dollars and the said grand daughters to have a bed and stead and furniture and eight hundred dollars to be equally divided between the three above named grand children which will be left in the hands of my Executors. My Executors can divide the above sum when they become of age or sooner if they see proper.
The sum named in this Item is to constitute all their interest in my estate.
I give and devise to my Grand children the heirs at Law of my daughter Elizabeth Rowland Deceased being her bodily heirs the sum of ten Dollars each to be paid to them by my Executors as they come of age that is those that are minors and those of age when the estate is wound up the several sums herein named constitute all their part of Estate.
Item All the ballance of my land is to be sold by my Executors either publickly or privately as they may see fit together with my interest in the Turn pike and mills and the proceed to be equally divided between my five living children that is Syntha Martin Lucy Lutes Lydia Nelson David Green and William A Green.
Item All the negro property I am now possessed of or am possessed of at the time of my decease to be laid off in Lots and valued and drawn for in five lots for the benefit of my five living children named in the Item above to them their heirs and assigns for ever. My money which I shall or may have on hand is to be used for the satisfaction of all my just Debts and if any remains to be equally divided between my above named living heirs.
I constitute and appoint my two sons David Green and W A Green my sole, executors. My old negro Ame is not considered in the lot of negroes but my son David is to take her and maintain her her lifetime, to this my last will and testament without requiring security of my executors in testimony.

At the above term of said court was produced in open court a proper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of David Green Deceased and the same as proven in solem form by the testimony of Peter S Duncan and C S Butler and ordered to be duly recorded. the forgoing being a copy test.
