Transcriber’s Notes:
These are from the marriage books. When a marriage license was applied for, it was written in these books. But when the marriage was actually performed, it was up to the minister of the gospel (M.G.) or justice of the peace (J.P.) to go back and add the solemnization information. Many times it appears this was not done.
Also note that some of these handwritten records were very hard to read. Keep in mind that “W”, “H”, “F”, “N” all look the same. As do other letters, such as “C” and “O”.

Pg 4, #22, William Starbuck: the bride’s name was Nancy Jane Simmons (9 April 1843 – 9 Jan 1925). She is buried in Starbuck Cemetery, by William.
