Juanita Bell Long

William Herschel and Marie Wilson Cox (Decatur County Centenarian) William Herschel Cox was born in Sugar Tree, Tennessee, the son of James and Jane Hunter Cox who came from Ireland to the United States. He married Martha Marie Wilson in 1882 and the rcouple lived in the Sugar Tree home which William Herschel was born. They lived here until Mr. Cox's death in 1943. Mrs. Cox lived to be the ripe age of one hundred three (103), passing away in 1967.

To this union four children were born, two sons, and two daughters; namely Ezra and Ottis Cox and Pearl and Zoedie Cox.

Ezra married Ethel Maim and they had nochildren. Ottis married Alvis Odle and they were the parents of three children, C!ois, Buford and Martha. Pearl married John Tippett and they are the parents of Bruce, Madelyn and Kenneth.

Zoedie married George Bell when she was thirty years of age and they had six children, Martha Mae, Juanita, Agnes, Grady, James and Wilford.

Martha Mae married Joe L. Blount and they have four children, Bill, Carol, Jane and Martha Joe.

Juanita married James Long who passed away in 1959. They had two daughters; Janice and Jimmie Ann.

Janice married Ron Walton and they have a daughter, Kelley, two and one half years and a baby born dead.

Jimmie Ann married Jack Carter and they have a son Jack Carter Reed Ill.

Grady married Irene Scott and they have two daughters, Nanette and Cheryl.

James married Juanite Birdwell and they have three children, Joanna, Luke, Johnny and Joy.

Joanna married Lynn Smith and they have a son, Luke. One and one half years of age.

Johnny Bell married Sharon Cloyd and Joy Bell is single.

Wilford married Virginia Smith and he passed away in 1960.

Agnes married Olin Sharpe and they have two children, Susanna and Terry.

Mr. and Mrs. George Bell have passed away.
