Am looking for any info on bural location of Green H. SCONCE and Matilda BOYD SCONCE, both from Williamson County, TN. Also looking for any possibility of WILLs for either or both. Looking for parents of Karon SMITH 1811-1865 (m Thomas COOK 1835), Mary SMITH (married James COOK 1837), Eunice (or Unity) SMITH (married Robert COOK), Simeon SMITH, and Ob (maybe Obidiah) SMITH. I am looking for the birth of James J. Morgan born on July 7, 1848 in North Columbia, TX (county seat of Maury). I am not sure of who his father or mother is. I have traced a William B. Morgan and Louisa Martha Huggans in the 1850 census in Giles Co-TN and believe he is either their son or relative or adopted. At the library, I found the information of birth referring it to Tree #2914. It directed me to a family, Calvin Cogswell Morgan (KY). Desire names, year of birth, etc. of all 18 children of John Gant who died sometime after 1850 when he was listed in the census of Williamson Co., TN for that year. John had Jeremiah, b. ca 1787 in Orange Co., NC and probably Joel, b. 1789 in Orange Co., NC (Joel married Sarah Phillips and they were in the 1820 census of Williamson Co., TN but not found in any later record)by his first wife before migrating to Canada with his second wife, Nancy Judge and his brother Thomas (both adopted the surname of Ghent in Canada). Thomas remained in Canada and raised a large family. John apparently had 6 more children in Canada (including Camilla. ca. 1792) but returned to Orange Co., NC after the death of his wife. In 1806, John married Esther Lovens with whom he had 10 children whose names and vitals I have (from his family bible). All of this information and much more on the descendants of John Gant (1713-1783) of Colonial VA and NC in a book about him published earlier this year. Any help will be appreciated
