SHELTON, GLENN, MAGNESS

My GGgrandfather was Edward Shelton. According to his obit he was born June 1805 in Mecklenburg Co., VA. I find him in the 1835 Tax Rolls of Williamson Co, Rock Hill-Trinty area, TN. He is with Samuel Shelton b. abt 1807 also VA (believed brothers). By 1837 they had moved over to the next District in Triune, WI Co., TN. Samuel left TN about 1839/40. Edward had married Zilpha (Magness) Glenn on 1-1-1837 who was the widow of William Glenn (she had child John Glenn b. 1834). Edward and Zilpha remained here (on Abram Glenn’s land)until about 1847. In Triune they birthed at least: Nancy 1837, Samuel 1838, Benj. Franklin abt 1842, George Washington 1846, Robert Morgan 1845, and Richard Manoah 1846/47. Then the family with 7 children moved to MS. Now … were Edward and/or Samuel married before 1835?? What brought them to Rock Hill/ Trinity? Who was their family?? After fifteen years of research … no answers. How can I find out any more info besides Tax Rolls in Rock Hill/ Trinity, WI Co., T
