I am looking for information on JAMES MOORE who died in Williamson Co., TN in 1838. He was b. 1764 in Mecklinberg Co., NC, served in the Rev. War out of Surry Co., NC, then moved to Hawkins Co., TN. Who were his children? Were they those that moved to Lawrence Co., AL and married into the ALEXANDER family? Did the family of ABIGAIL ALEXANDER live in Williamson Co?

VAN METER
Just recently discovered ancestor died 3 miles outside Franklin on 25 Dec 1864 at the McKay house and is buried there. Name was Moses VAN METER of the Co H 23rd Inf KY. Died of thyoid fever. Would like to know if the house is still there and are there any pictures of it and or of the burial site. Was this house a hospital at the time? Would there be any notificans of the death?
