CROCKETT
Seeking information on ANDREW CROCKETT of Williamson Co, TN. Have Land Certificate signed by John Tyler, Pres. 1 April 1843 conveying 319.8 acres in Natchitoches, LA. My gggrandmother’s 2nd husband was Andrew Crockett, supposedly the nephew of Davy, and was born in LA c1825. Hoping to establish connection.

HAMMOND, WILLIAM TYLER
William Tyler HAMMOND was born in Franklin on 4 July 1886, married Mary Sicily MCCLANAHAN in 22 Oct 1911 in Williamson Co. Had 6 children and lived in Brentwood. Was “run out of the state” I understand, but don’t know why, probably in 1920s.

Seeking any info on this LEE/LEA family, which probably arrived in Williamson Co. bef. Marshall Co. was formed. It is thought by some that wife Frances was nee TERRY, dau of George Terry (d. Charlotte Co., VA) & Frances/Fanny Terry. Did the mother Frances TERRY go with the family to Tennessee??? Jno LEE was listed on the 1850 Cen. Marshall Co., TN p.120, hshld 476, as age 77 b. VA. Apparent wife Frances 56; Ann E. 35; Rebecca L. 28; Mary H. 26; Wm T 23. Marshall Co. Tenn. Wills 1835-1865, p. 62, pub. by Lynch 1978 show an 1856/1857 will abstract of John LEA. Legatees names: Children: Jane Mannion, Rebecca Lea, Sarah Marler [Martin?/jgs], and William T. Lea. The abstract shows the land on which John LEA resided lay in Williamson and Marshall Counties. Any information or source of information is welcomed!

RIZER, BAUGH
Would like to correspond with anyone descending from Y. M. RIZER and his wife Hattie BAUGH. Y. M. RIZER was born 1851 in Ky., died Jan 1941 and is buried in Williamson Co. where he had married and lived for many years. He married Cecelia Harriet, called Hattie, Baugh in 1874. They had five sons for whom I am seeking further information: James L. Rizer b. 1877 and died 15 Jan 1917, buried Mt. Hope Cem. Joseph Wilkes Rizer b. 1882 and died 1950 in Nashville, married Nina Witt. John Baugh Rizer b. 1896, and died 1943 in Nashville, married Lois Morton Y. M. Rizer and Edward Rizer, for whom nothing further is known.

EXUM, LOVE
My ancestors John Gilbert LOVE and Rebecca EXUM were married in Williamson Co., TN, on April 18, 1811. I do not have any further information on Rebecca EXUM but have some on John Gilbert LOVE. Some time after their marriage, they moved to the Republic of Texas, where they raised their family and later died. Does anyone know anything about these families, especially the EXUM family in TN? Seeking info on ancestors Horace Howard HARDING, his wife Susannah S. McMULLEN, who lived in Franklin, Williamson Co. in early 1800s. I am researching my maternal grandmother Eva Mac BARRETT, b.Oct 1, 1885 in Franklin, TN. Her parents were Elijah and Sallie (BEECH) BARRETT who married May 15, 1870. Eva’s other siblings were Ida (b1871), Hattie (b1874), Florence (b1875), Elijah Andrew (b1879), Janie (b1880), Arthur (b1883), Maggie (b1887), Mayhugh (b1889), Will (b.1893), Rina and Rosa (b1894). Their mother Sallie died the day after the birth of the twins. Elijah BARRETT later moved to Texas and remarried twice.

POTTS
Joseph POTTS, first husband of Nancy Agness CROCKETT, died in Williamson Co., in 1812 [Will bk 1, pg 277]. His son John Potts married Margaret Spence according to Crockett History by French and Armstrong. Does anyone have knowledge of this line and if he married a second time. It is possible that he is the same John Potts who was in Madison Co., AL in 1830 and Jackson Co., AL in 1840. His children appear to be those of Mourning POTTS listed in Madison Co., AL, in 1850.
