CSA Burials in Unmarked Graves

Here are some Black Confederate Soldiers in Williamson County buried in unmarked graves. There are several more in the county, but these are the ones on which I have identified burial sites and have documentation verifying Confederate service. They are eligible for VA stones at no cost. Getting VA stones for these men would be a great project. Getting permission to place them in the Cemeteries is all that is lacking. I have briefly discussed this with Rick Warwick, Historian with the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County. He has a lot of contacts in the communities of the county and could be of great help. I’ll copy this email to SCV & UDC members and others who may be interested.
