Seeking information on Ingram Blanks Peebles of Williamson Co. Hewas born Northampton Co., N.C. about 1811, came to Williamson Co.before 1820 (I think), was in Texas by about 1847. SPENCE
Seeking information on the ELISHA SPENCE (1776-ca. 1835) family of southern Davidson, possibly Williamson County. Elisha Spence was born in North Carolina to WILLIAM SPENCE and JUDHA PERRY SPENCE in 1776. His father died in Pasquotank, NC in 1785. In 1798/1799, Elisha married SUSANNA SPENCER in Greenville County, SC. Their son, SAMUEL SPENCE, was born there in 1800. Additional children include Milly Catherine (m. Lewis Jones), b. 1802 in NC; Levi, b. 1804/5 in NC; Daniel b. 1806 in NC; William and Louisa (twins), b. 1809 in NC; and Susan, b. 1810 in Davidson County, TN. Susanna died in childbirth and Elisha married JANE BELL in Davidson County 10 Sept 1810. Their children include Angeline, Joseph, Jane, and Elisha B. Elisha Spence died in either Davidson or in Williamson County ca. 1835. He last appears on the 1830 Census for Davidson County. His widow, Jane, relocated to Marshall County, where she appears on the Census for 1840.

PHILLIPS

My PHILLIPS ancesters migrated from Ireland to Williamson Co.about 1800. There were five brothers, who may have been named John, William, Joseph, Samual, and perhaps Robert. I believe my direct ansester was named John, whose son John PHILLIPS was born in Williamson Co. married Susanna GAMBILL, moved to Bibb Co. GA, had five sons and both John and Susanna died at an early age in about 1845. The sons, John,William, Benjamin, James, and Joseph, all minors, returned to Williamson and/or Bedford Co. and were raised by the GAMBILLS. Joseph was my Lineage.
