ALEXANDER, NEILL, CLINTON

Mary NEILL of Robertson Co. filed an application for an 1812 bounty warrant. In an affidavit she says her maiden name was ALEXANDER, that she was married in 1797 at her father’s home in Buncombe Co., N.C. I am looking for proof in the nature of Bible or legal records. William NEILL, son of Robert and Mary, married Mary daughter of Samuel CLINTON of Logan Co., Ky. Samuel, I am sure was closely related to James CLINTON who was listed as a taxpayer in Williamson Co.
