DANCY,

Isaac DANCY(my 2-great-grandfather) moved from Charles City County, VA. to Williamson County in the early 1800’s. His first Wife, Sarah TYLER DANCY died about 11 Oct 1822, in Williamson County. In 1831 he and 2nd wife, Mary LAMB DANCY, moved to Haywood County and settled the community of Dancyville. I am looking for any information regarding Isacc and the burial place of Sarah DANCY.

PORTER, HOPKINS

I’m trying to find Hopkins ancestors who lived in Williamson Co., TN in the early 1800s. David Porter married Mary Elizabeth Hopkins (could be just plain Elizabeth) around 1802, supposedly in Williamson Co., TN. Elizabeth died around 1806 in Williamson Co., TN, nine days after giving birth to James Porter. James went to live with his Grandmother Hopkins, but 10 years later he went to live with his father and stepmother in Missouri, so I’m assuming his grandmother died. Any information on this Hopkins family would be very much appreciated.
