Champion; admitted to bar in Henry Co. Tenn., in 1882; railroad commissioner 1897-99; chairman Democratic State executive committee 1902-06; admitted to practice in supreme court in 1882; federal court and supreme court of U. S. few years later.

frank m thompson listed above was my great grandfather. from what i know he was the attorney general for the state of tennesee from 1915 to 1926. he dies in 1926, and is buried in forrest hills cemetary in chattanooga, tn. he was a good and decent man.
