SUGG, Jeff Davis, farmer; born in Lincoln Co., Tenn., June 26, 1861; son of William Conrad and Susan (Wood) SUGG; father’s occupation, farmer; paternal grandparents Cullen E. and Sidney (Conrad) SUGG, maternal grandparents Dr. John and Josephine (Dobbins) WOOD; received common school education; began his business career as a merchant, hardware business at Fayetteville, Tenn.; later became interested in farming; married Sallie E. HOBBS Jan. 29, 1890; member Odd Fellows; Democrat; former State Senator; Judge of the Lincoln Co. Court in 1902; member of the Christian church; engaged in farming and raising stock and trading mules at Harms, Tenn.
