(Painter) POTTS; Dutch, Scotch, Irish and Indian descent; father’s occupation farmer; graduated Big Sandy, Tenn., 1884; early business occupation teacher and then merchant; married M. W. STIGALL Dec. 2, 1890; member W. O. W., K. of P., F. and A. M., Royal Arch Mason; was chairman county school board; holds stock in bank, insurance company, telephone company and in the firm of Stegall and Potts; he is general manager of both buying and selling; member Methodist Episcopal church, South.
