C. and Margaret (Craig) OWEN; father was a merchant; educated in local schools of Columbia, Tenn., Mooneys School, Franklin, Tenn., and Vanderbilt Univerisity; graduated from Mooney’s School in 1898, and from law department Vanderbilt University in 1903; began his career as Sec. and Treas. of the Citizens’ Telephone Co., Columbia, Tenn.; member of Kappa Alpha College fraternity and Knights of Pythias Lodge; entered the practice of law at Columbia, Tenn., in 1903.
