OAKLEY, Joseph Benjamin, minister of the gospel; born at Mineral Springs, Ark., graduated Cumberland University, Lebanon, Tenn., June, 1896; married Carrie CALHOUN Sept. 9, 1896; entered the ministry at the age of seventeen years, pastor of Cumberland Presbyterian church four years at Columbus, Miss., one and one-half years at Marshall, Texas, three and one-half years at Dyersburg, Tenn., is now pastor at Jackson, Tenn.; in addition to his regular pastorial /sic/ work engages extensively in revivals.
