LOVE, H. H., Public Official; born Gibson Co., Tenn., 1855; son of Thomas B. and Fannie (Bethshares) LOVE; Scotch-Irish and French descent; educated public schools; married Allie ARNOLD Nov. 18, 1880; member Elks’ Lodge; school teacher 1879 to 1896, 2d Dist. Pleasant Hill, Hickory Grove and Zion; elected Magistrate 2nd Dist. Gibson Co. March, 1890; vacated office and served as road commissioner in Gibson Co.; put in all iron and wooden bridges; elected Clerk of Court of Humboldt 1902; was elected Clerk of School Board 3d Dist. of Gibson Co.; one of the founders of Humboldt Fruit Growers’ Assn.; elected 1st president of same and re-elected annually ever since; also Notary Public of Gibson Co.; Democrat.
