HOGAN, John H., Chairman of Hamilton County Revenue Commission; born Philadelphia, Pa., November 14, 1842; son Michael and Susan (McGarry) HOGAN; Irish descent; graduate of institutions of learning Philadelphia, A. B. 1861, and A. M. 1866; married Mary A. KELLY, January 1865; Republican; member G. A. R.; held office of School Commissioner, Justice of Peace and Chairman of Hamilton County Revenue Commission; First Sergeant Company I, Thirty-third Pennsylvania Regiment during Civil War, later made Lieutenant; wounded at Gettysburg, but continued in war until close; real estate owner and dealer; member St. Peter and Paul’s Church (Catholic).
