GRAY, Joseph Preston, dentist; born in Pettus County, Mo., January 20, 1855; son of Sidney C. and Margaret L. GRAY; graduated from University of Tennessee, M.D., 1800; DD.S. 1891; married Ella DUNCAN in 1898; entered the practice of dentistry in Nashville in 1890; Professor of Prosthetic and Oral Surgery, University of Tennessee since 1899; Professor of Prosthetic Denistry /sic/ and Manager and Secretary Department of Dentistry, Vanderbilt University, since 1905; President of Nashville Board of Education, 1903; member of Fourth International Dental Congress, 1904 (Chairman of Committee on Clinics); President National Association of Dental Faculties, 1897; member of National and State Associations of Dentists.
