GOODWYN, R. D., vice-president Memphis Queensware Co.; born in Shelby Co., Tenn., in 1868; educated in the public and private schools of Shelby Co., Tenn.; began his career as office boy for Porter & Macrae, he remained with this firm for ten years, working his way up to the position of traveling salesman, which he held at the time the Memphis Queensware Co. was organized in 1896, and he became vice-president of same; member of Tennessee Club, Chickasaw Club, Business Men’s Club and Baptist church.
