EDWARDS, Author Washington, farmer; born Boone’s Creek, Washington Co., Tenn., March 15, 1855; Welsh-Dutch descent; son of S. E. and Mary (Kitzmiller) EDWARDS; paternal grandparents, David and Elizabeth (Hughes) KITZMILLER; educated in common schools of Virginia and Tennessee; began life as a farmer and has continued in that vocation all of his life; married twice, first Mary C. DUNGAN July 15, 1881, second Junie C. COPENHAVEN Oct. 23 1889; member Masons, Zollicoffer lodge No. 444; member County Court of Sullivan Co., Tenn. for four years; Democrat. (Independent) member Missionary Baptist church.
