COLLINS, Christ C., born Carter Co., Tenn.;  Scotch-Irish descent; his father. G O. COLLINS, was a farmer; educated Lookout Mountain Institution and graduated in law at National Law School, Washington, D.C., with degrees in L.L.B. and M.L. in 1883; married Sadie M. LUTTRELL March 30, 1875; member of Masons and Odd Fellows; Republican; was a school teacher in early life and the first Co. superintendent of Carter Co., was twice floaterial representative in Tenn. Legislature, one time clerk in War Department , Washington, was also formerly employed as Special Attorney in Department of Justice, Washington, D.C.; senior member firm of Collin s & Tipton, lawyers, Elizabethton, Tenn.
