Aug., 1902; appointed Fire Marshal May, 1908; elected County Court Clerk Aug., 1910; active in breaking up night riding in Cheatham, Robertson and Montgomery counties while Fire Marshal; during term as sheriff arrested 108 men at one time; probably the largest arrest ever made by one sheriff in the State; Democrat.
