NORTON, Junius D., Assistant General Agent Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company; born Meriden, Conn., August 27, 1887; son Junius Silliman, Jr., and Elizabeth (Hathaway) NORTON; English descent on the maternal side from Ann HATHAWAY, Shakespeare’s wife; graduate institutions of learning Meriden, Conn., 1905; member Alpha Delta Sigma Greek Letter Fraternity, Home Club of Meriden, Conn.; 1905 left school and entered Home National Bank in Meriden, where he was employed in various departments until 1907, when he entered life insurance field; 1909 formed partnership with J. Morgan WATKINS as associate general agents of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, with offices in Chattanooga; member Episcopal (Christ Church) of Chattanooga.
