BOGGESS, Eliisha Sharp, farmer; born Ten Mile Stand, Meigs Co., Tenn., Jan. 9, 1856; son of Abijah F. and Levina C. (Sharp) BOGGESS; father was a farmer; received a limited education in the county schools; took business course, Atlanta, Ga., 1876; married Martha J. EWING, Dec. 30, 1880; was raised on farm by widowed mother, his father having been killed while serving as Captain in Confederate army; is secretary Lodge of F. & A.M.; Democrat and member Baptist church.
