Karen Dawn Alexander Dorris, 57, passed away Oct. 17, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 11, 1962, in Springfield, the daughter of Jack and Georgia Alexander.

She graduated from Smyrna High School, in 1981. She will always be remembered for her love of family, any cat that crossed her path, and the amazing advice she gave to anyone who asked. We will all miss her quick wit and sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Georgia Alexander, and her sisters, Judy Roach and Lori Alexander.

Survivors include her children, Karen Rose Ballinger (Ronnie), Trey Roach; granddaughter, Rachel Nicole Seibers; siblings, Jack Alexander (Sherry), Jerry Alexander, Teresa Norrod (Robert), Ginny Hillard; several nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Evan Pope.

Details for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
