Cynthia WINSTON    Born 1810.  died  Dec. 16, 1875. aged  65 Years. "She died a devoted Christian."

Her maiden name was Cynthia WARD.  She married James WINSTON  in Wake Co., North Carolina  13 Oct. 1836.  They had nine children, including  Penelope Catherine  WINSTON, Benjamin Thomas Leroy Clanton WINSTON,  Sephronia E. M. WINSTON,  Synthia Ann WINSTON,  James Monroe R. WINSTON,  Gilla  "Gilly" Canady WINSTON, Wm. Martin Van Buren  "Pete"  WINSTON,  Nancy A. WINSTON,  Elizabeth A. T. B. WINSTON.  All were  probably buried  in Weakley Co.,  Tn.
