In the name of God, Amen.  I, NICHOLAS W. SHRUM of the County of Weakley in the State of Tennessee being at present weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner form following to wit, I recommend my soul to God the Lord and giver of life in hope of a glorious resurrection in and through the merits of our blessed Redeemer and my body I recommend to a Christian burial, and after the payment of all my Just debts it is my desire that my Worldly estate should be disposed in the following manner. 

I desire that my filly and saddle and one cow and one fur hat should be sold and my land and all I possess and the remainder of the amount of the sale after my just debts are paid out of it I give to my wife and children.  This the 24th of September,
1833.
