This November 4th in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-two. I, Ann MOSS, do this day make and ordain this my last will and testament. Item, I give and bequeath until my son Josephus MOSS, the tract of land where I now live, to him and his heirs forever. I want my negro girl Silvy sold and the money to be divided between James M. MOSS and Martha VAUN, with the exception of fifteen dollars which is to pay the expenses of my negro girl Sophrona to Granville County, North Carolina, then and thereto, be sold and the money to be equally divided between Benjamin, William, Jourdin, John and Howel, Richard MOSS. I want my wagon and two horses sold and equally divided among all my children. I want my bed and bed clothing to be divided between my sons R. J. MOSS, and Josephus MOSS. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter, Martha, my trunk. I also appoint J. E. VINCENT and Fletcher WHITE, Executors as witness my name and seal. Test:
