Will of John P.
JOHNSON
In the name of God, Amen. I,
JOHN P.
JOHNSON of Weakley County, Tennessee sick and weak of body but of sound
mind memory and understanding and considering the certainty of death
and
the uncertainty of the time thereof, and to the end I may be the better
prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me
hence
do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in manner
following: That all my
just debts as shall be by me owing at my
death
shall be fully paid and satisfied and from and after payment thereof
and
subject thereunto. Then my will is that all the residue of my
property
shall remain in the hands of my wife during her lifetime or widowhood
for
the support of my children and then to be equally parted and divided
then,
share and share alike and I do appoint my said dear wife shall have the
guardianship and tuition of them so
long as she shall continue to be
sole.
In witness whereof I the testator have to this my la! st will
consisting
of one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this the 18 of December,
1836.
