Will of Hardy FOWLER, deceased

Tennessee, Weakley County, January 14th one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

I, Hardy FOWLER, make this my last will and testament. 

1st, I give, devise and bequeath my estate and property, real and personal as follows that is to say.  It is my will and desire that after my death, that my funeral and burial expenses be paid and that all my just debts be paid out of the first money that may come into the hands of my Executor hereinafter named.  Next, after my funeral and burial expenses and just debts are paid, it is my will that J. W. SHANKLE and Mary S. SHANKLE have all my estate, both real and personal that I may die seized and possed of, to be equally divided between or their heirs, at my death, with understanding I, the said Hardy FOWLER, am now old and not able to labor and support myself.  Now for the consideration of my estate above named, the said J. W. SHANKLE and Mary S. SHANKLE agrees to take care of and support me what time I may yet live, hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time made.  I hereby nominate and appoint E. A. GOLDSBY as my Executor to this my last will and desire that he see the said will be carried out as directed in the same.  In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and signature and published and declared this instrument as my will, at my home in Weakley County, Tennessee, on the 14th day of January 1874.
