Last Will and testament of HILLARY H. BONDURANT 

I, HILLARY H. BONDURANT of the County of Weakley and the State of Tennessee being of sound and disposing mind do hereby made ordain and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and codicils by me at any time heretofore made and published. 

And first it is my will and desire that my executors herein after named as soon after my death as they may think proper, shall advertise and sell all my real estate lying within the corporation of the town of Dresden consisting of family residence and the lot of ground opposite thereunto on the west side of the road, also all my real estate in the town of Christmasville, Carroll County consisting of an interest in a Tavern House there and a gin and the ground appertaining thereto one such credit of credits as they may think best for the interest of my estate.  I also wish my executors to sell all the rest and residue of my personal and perishable property (except my negroes) on such a credit as they may think advisable and out of the proceeds of the sale of the above mentioned property to pay off and discharge all my just debts of whatsoever kind - 

And secondly - It is my will and desire that after all my just debts are paid by my executors that they cause all the rest and residue of my estate remaining of whatsoever kind to equally divide between my beloved wife HARRIET E. C. BONDURANT and my two little daughters SARAH ELIZABETH and MARTHA EMALINE BONDURANT and that my executors choose three disinterested persons to make said division - 

And thirdly - I hereby constitute and appoint the two grandfathers of my two little daughters namely BENJAMIN BONDURANT and JNO. TERRELL, guardians of my (page 190) minor children during their minority to attend to their rearing, education and support and manage their estate and their persons I commit especially to the keeping of grandfather JNO. TERRELL during his natural life. 

And lastly - I do hereby constitute and appoint my esteemed and trusty friend JOHN A. GARDNER and DAVID P. CALDWELL, executors of this my last will and testament.  In testimony of this solemn act - I have herewith set my hand and affixed my seal this the 29th day of November A. D. 1838.
