Will in Weakley County, Tennessee 14 November 1900
 
State of Tennessee, Weakley County. I, C. S. Moore considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do for and in consideration that my youngest son Lemuel Potter Moore does take charge of my farm and make support for me and my family and take of my wife Ruth Parlee McWherter Moore and myself during our natural life and that he shall support and give my daughter Sarah Ann Moore a house as long as she may live a single life and that he
shall give out of my estate six months after my death $50.00, fifty dollars each to my two daughters, S. A. Moore and Alice Ruth Killebrew or a horse of that value to each of them.
 
I do give and bequeth to him (my son L. P. Moore) and his heirs and assigns all of my said farm and home situated and being in the fifth civil district of Weakley County, Tenn and bounded as follows; beginning at a stake the N. W. corner of the Kilgore old tract- thence East 155 poles to a ..oak with water and...oak poles- thence N 61 poles to a white oak with pas- then E 44 poles to a pine oak-thence North 66 poles to a stake with...oak p..-thence West 66 poles to a stake Bradley's South W. corner - thence South 32 poles to a black oak corner the W 128 poles to a hickory stump, black oak... pls thence South 66 poles to a stake John Killebrew S. E. corner then West 50 poles to a stake then south 38 poles to two read oaks then West 88 poles to a stake with Spanish Oak pointed thence South 38 poles to a stake with white and black oak...thence East 138 poles to a stake thence N 38 poles to the beginning containing 170 acres more or less excluding a tract of 80 acres on the west side sold to James Silas Moore and another tract of 15 acres on the North side sold to Simon Peter Moore.
 
The above said land together with all my other free held and personal estate whatsoever to hold to him the said L. P. Moore and his heirs and assigns forever and it is hereby understood that all of my indebtedness shall be paid by my said son L. P. Moore whom I appoint sole executor of this my last will and testament--hereby revoding all former wills by me made in Witness whereof I have hreunto set my hand and seal the 14 day of Nov 1900.

The above instrument consisting of two and one-half pages was now here subscribed by C. S. Moore, the Testator in the presents of each of us and was at the same time declared by him to be his last Will and Testament and we at his request sign our names hereto as attesting witnesses:
