Thomas Martin b. 10 May 1776 d. 24 Nov 1854. and Drucilla Martin (Vawter) b. 15 Jul 1778 d. 4 Nov 1856. Both buried in the Old Martin Family Cemetery. They were married in Virginia ca 1799. The tombstone of Thomas Martin, located in the Old Martin Family Cemetery in Weakley County, Tenn., states "Thomas Martin, May 10, 1776 - November 24, 1854, son of Wm. and Elizabeth Martin, born in Buckingham County, Virginia, Aged 78 yrs, 6 Mo., & 14 dy". The tombstone also has this inscription, not fully discernable. "To all young people passing by, As ye are now so once was I, As I am now ye shall surely be, Prepare in youth to follow me".
