  Mattie DREWRY
***
Mattie DREWRY  b. 1873 d. 1905.  Daughter of Robert Harvey "Harve'" DREWRY and Nancy Jane "Nannie" HAGUE DREWRY. Meridian Cemetery. Although there are no stones, it is now thought that both Harve and Nannie are buried by Mattie - there is plenty of room and Nannie's Obit says she was buried in Meridian. Harve Drewry must have died between 1905 and 1907 when Nannie is listed as a widow.

Family story - Mattie died of Typhoid Fever. It rained so much day of funeral the wagons had a really hard time making it through the mud and rain from the homeplace out to Meridian Cemetery...from Aunt Nannie Sharp Campbell.

From the Dresden Enterprise:
November 30, 1917      Death of Mrs Drewry
Mrs. Harve Drewry, wife of  the late Harve Drewry, who died in the south part of the county several years ago, died last Sunday at the home of her son, Mr Tom Drewry in Clinton, Ky., where she had made her home since the death of her husband. Mrs Drewry was quite old. She is survived by two children- Mr. Tom Drewry, of Clinton, and Mrs John Cates, near Greenfield. The remains were tenderly laid to rest at Meridian Cemetery on last Monday.
