They moved from Henderson Co., TN to Weakley Co, TN by 1847, purchasing 100 acres next to brother-in-laws, Samuel Thomas Baker & Gilbert Patterson. It is from Wash and Betty that we Campbell's of Greenfield descend. They had 12 children (from Bible and multiple census). We do not know who Wash's parents were - incorrect assumptions were made in earlier years and have been copied over and over on internet and in print but we just do not know. |
