Rose Hill School
Operated from approximately 1860 – 1905 in district 17. My ancestor George Washington Conner donated the land on which the school was built. My grandfather, Milburn Conner, grew up in the old school house, which remained on our farm until last year. The old school bell is now in the front yard of Gerald Nanney’s (my cousin) house on Nanney Rd., very close to the Chestnut Glade School. Our farm where the old school once stood is on the East side of Ralston Road, just south of Tom Counce Rd. Submitted by
