Date Established: 1842 - by John JENKINS - discontinued use - approx 85 graves on 1/2 acre - 6 tombstones listed.

Only 5 tombstones remain behind an iron fence today (2007) We thank the Reynolds family for taking such good care of this old cemetery and for sharing with us - This is a beautiful spot with the old Cedar Tree - it was very common in past times to plant Cedar trees around small family cemeteries -  and the iron fence is still in very good shape - Notice the Vina minor ground cover which not only grows in the fenced area to keep out weeds, but has spread throughout the hilly wooded area as far as you can see.

Cooke of Weakley County died 25 Jan 1888 in Dripping Springs, Hays, Texas, and is buried in the Texas State Cemetery in Austin (Texas Ranger and later Texas CSA).
