The GRAPEFRUIT DIET of the 1960's



BREAKFAST:
            1/2 grapefruit, 2 eggs, at least 2 pieces of bacon
            (coffee or milk)

LUNCH:
            1/2 grapefruit and any kind of meat


DINNER:       

            1/2 grapefruit, any kind of meat , any gravy made
            without flour. Any green, yellow, or red vegetable
            plus a salad. (coffee or milk)


1. Eat everything listed and as much as you can.

2. Grapefruit is important because it acts as a catalyst that starts
 the fat burning process.

3. Cut down on coffee ( this was in the 60’s-70’s) Today No
coffee......Green Tea instead.

4. NO SNACKING!!!

5. Eat no sugar, no starches.  They form lipoids, and lipoids form
fat.

6. With this menu you can eat all the family eats except desserts,
breads, and white vegetables.

7. You can lose 10 lbs... in 10 days. You will not notice any weight loss until the 5th day. After that you lose 1 lb. a day for 10 days. Then you will lose 1 1/2 lbs.. for every 2 days.


•••This was a diet very popular in the late 60’s, early 70’s. This was a rival for the Dr. Atkins diet. It worked, you just get VERY sick of grapefruit!!
