Algernon Colegate Gardner called "Coley",
1841-1920.
The small stone to the left is his and the one on the right is for his
wife, Josephine Johnson Gardner, called Jodey, 1844-1908. Gardner cemetery in Gardner, Tn. Coley was the son of Col. John A. Gardner and wife, Ritty Maria Terrell. Jodey was the daughter of Joseph Johnson and Harriett McKeen, both of Rutherford Co., Tn.; however, Jodey's mother moved her family to join her sisters already in Weakley, one being Sallie McKeen Warner wife of Mears Warner.
