| The back of the picture says: "Reading from the left top row men are Uncle Lum Crowder, Uncle Will Crowder in center cousin Robt Veasy. Ladies are Aunt Barnie [Bamie?] Millikes[z?], cousin Sudie Veasy, Aunt Mattie Akers. She & Aunt Bammie are Papa Sisters B. T. Crowder sisters" I have found that Angeline Crowder (wife of P. B. Edmonds, Sr.) still living at home with her parents Hardy and Mary J. Crowder in Henry County in 1850 had a brother named Columbus. Next door to them lived James Crowder and he had a son named Will. The Veasy family (with a son named Robert and daughters named Susan and Samantha) lived very close by. The Veasy family even moved to Gibson County and lived close by the Edmonds by 1870. I haven't connected the "aunts" or identified "B. T. Crowder" yet. Submitted by Mary Ann Arnold |
