| Home site #18 on Gardner, TN 1912 map was the home of Col John “Jack” Almus Gardner from 1874 until about 1887 when he moved to Gainesville, TX where he died, He was the last child living when his brother, Joshua died in 1887. Gardner School burned and school was held in his home after he moved. The school was soon re-built before 1900. Submitted by Louise Arnold |
