Ancestry & Find-A-Grave

The “Who begot whom” – FAMILY TREES

The modern day Genealogy reseacher uses both ancestry.com and findagrave.com. My Weakley County website gives you the “extras” that you will not find on them.

But for your  Family Tree, I strongly reccommend Ancestry. This is where people post their Family Trees. Lots of errors, but is a place to start. The better researchers list sources for their data. You also can meet other kinfolk researching your family. Never know when will find a cousin or two.

Many years ago, I was balking at spending money for an Ancestry year membership. A cousin pointed out to me, “MaryCarol, you would spend more than that for just one overnight trip to the State Archives”. I joined the next day.
