Methodist Campground Cemetery

LOCATION: On the south side of Beech Creek, 3.4 mile up the creek from the confluence with Little Beech Creek.

A Methodist Church was located here in the 1830’s. Thomas Montague deeded 2 acres to Campground Church in 1834. The first trustees for the church were Alexander Steele, Richard Tidwell, and Ben Steele. The church was moved from this site more than 100 years ago.
