Wayne County, Tennessee Abstracts of 1914 Death Certificates

The following material has been extracted from microfilm copies of death certificates previously on files at the State Department of Public Health, Vital Records Office. These records were transferred to the Tennessee State Archives and Library where they were microfilmed with copies of the film being placed in each county as part of Tennessee Homecoming ’86.

Only that information relating to name, dates and places of birth and death, names of parents, their place of birth and the place of burial have been extracted.

This cemetery is located on Hwy 13N less than a mile from Bell Bridge. A Church of Christ was started there in abt. 1946. The site also held a Methodist Church that has been torn down.

There are several names on gravestones of living people and people who were not buried there. I am enumerating all the names on all the gravestones.

The Jackson Cemetery is located on the east side of Jackson Cemetery Road, about six miles south of Collinwood and 1 mile east of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Decoration day at the Jackson Cemetery is the first Sunday in July.
