Mattie M. Austin, 78 McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Mattie M. Austin, 78, died April 25 at Glen Oakes Nursing Home in Shelbyville. A hair stylist and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Atlia Sparkman Miller; and was preceded in death by one daughter, Margie Ann Austin in 1976; and her husband, Edward J.
