This, the family Bible of John Calhoun Breckenridge Smoot and Myra Octavia Darnell, is in the hands of John’s granddaughter, Myra Elizabeth “Lib” Chastain of Shellsford, Warren County Tennessee. This transcription was made from the original Bible by Fred Smoot.
John C. Smoot is the son of William Smoot and Matilda Anderson. Myra O. Darnell is the daughter of James Thomas Darnell and Ann Elizabeth Darnell. John and Myra Smoot lived on Old Shelbyville Road, west of Crisp.
