William B. Anderson, son of James Anderson and Elizabeth (Smoot?), was born in Warren Co. TN. He served as a Private in Co. G, 35th Tennessee Infantry Regiment, CSA. He married Nancy Hammer, daughter of Asahel Rains Hammer and his wife Elizabeth Ann Swope. William and Nancy had 7 children. William died in 1873, the same year his last child was born.
